Day 1 & 2 :
Reaching Padam from Sirinagar/ Leh
Day 3 :
Rest Day ( Acclimitization )
Day 4 : Padum-Mune:
Walking Time 6 hrs.> Now jeeps are available for much of
the route to be covered by traveling.
Day 5 : Mune-Purne:
Walking Time 8hrs.> Can make this stage in two section
as best option is to take a halt at reru 3850m. It is gradual
ups and downs to Purne 3700m.
Day 6: Purne-Phugtal
& Tetha: Walking Time4 hrs.> Visit Phugtal monastery
3850m. A gradual walk to Tetha 3950m.
Day 7 : Tetha-Tanze:
Walking Time 4 hrs.> At 3850m Tanze is very easy and gradual
walk.
Day 8: Tanze-Phitse
La: Walking Time 7 hrs.> Steep ascending for 500m, camping
at base of the pass 4800m.
Day 9 :
Rest Day ( High Pass )
Day 10 : Base of
Pass- Kilang Sarai:Campsite- Phirtse-La(5450M)...7 to 8 hours
Phirtse-la (the highest pass on the whole trek) is reached
in 4 hours. Follow path to the river. Another 2 hours of trek,
reach campsite for night halt, around 100 m above the river
with beautiful landscape. You are on the western slope. Gradual
walk to Kilang Sarai 4600m.
Day 11 : Kilang Sarai-Baralacha
La : Walking Time 3-4 hrs.> From camp site trail joins
Leh-Manali road at Baralacha La 4950m.
Day 12- 13: Traveling
to Leh/Manali: Travel according to your option.
OPTIONS:
Please add three days of traveling by road from Delhi to Leh
and one rest day at Leh.
